I’m running because I believe the next chapter is about connecting those strengths. Better streets can support stronger businesses. Better public spaces can bring more people downtown. A stronger destination identity can create investment and jobs. Thoughtful development can expand shopping, dining, recreation, and services while improving everyday life for the people who already call Desert Hot Springs home.

I’m Joseph Erndt, a District 3 resident and operations professional with experience in hospitality and spa operations, construction and project coordination, budgeting, marketing, vendor management, and business development.
My career has required me to solve problems, manage people and projects, control costs, improve operations, and turn ideas into results with limited resources. I approach local government the same way: understand the problem, study the numbers, listen to different perspectives, consider the tradeoffs, and focus on solutions that actually work.
